02 / The hand

Neural activity,
not image prompts.

Drawings from a fruit fly’s neural circuit. The studio is a setting, not a live feed.

Steering turns the pen. Forward drive moves it. Quiet intervals lift it.

Sensory activity sets the colour. Each study rotates the same three-way colour relationship.

A dense knot of rust, violet and turquoise polygonal loops sits at the lower left; a fine ochre orbit opens across the pale square.
Study / 1000Mixed stimulus

A completed candidate study, not a live drawing or an issued collectible.

The planned mechanics

  1. Draw

A simulated fruit fly’s descending-neuron activity moves a pen. Its sensory state gives each stroke its colour.

  2. Collect

The mint costs 0.2 SOL and 1,000,000 FLYWHL tokens, so you need 1,000,000 tokens to mint. One piece per wallet, enforced on chain.

  3. Accumulate

All of the mint SOL funds the fly; none of it goes to the operator. The tokens arrive in one taxed transfer, so 30,000 go to transfer tax; the fly then burns 500,000 itself and keeps 470,000.

  4. Bid & retire

The fly’s SOL funds standing bids. Acquired pieces are burned periodically, adding capacity to the next drop, never an instant mint slot.

  5. Distribute

Received GOOGLX is distributed to desk holders when the threshold is reached. Fly-held desks are excluded. The fly earns no royalties; the whole 5% secondary royalty goes to the operator.

The operator’s only revenue is the 5% royalty on secondary sales. No mint proceeds go to them directly — all of the mint SOL and all of the mint tokens go to the fly. The fly’s own buybacks are secondary sales like any other, so they pay that royalty too.

Both are settings on the mint itself — the payment destination and the royalty recipient — so they can be read from the chain instead of taken on trust.

A bid is conditional on available funds. Sustained selling can empty the pool. No return or yield is promised.

Candidate drawings · each shown in full

A dense knot of rust, violet and turquoise polygonal loops sits at the lower left; a fine ochre orbit opens across the pale square.
Study / 1000Mixed stimulus
Fine rose polygons descend through a mostly empty pale square, meeting violet loops and small magenta and blue starbursts near the bottom.
Study / 1003Mixed stimulus
Violet rings and angular paths form scattered islands, with an open cyan polygon at right and a small green ring at lower left.

Stated plainly

What is not real.

This is a simulation, not a living fly. The neural activity drives an abstract pen path; it does not understand the drawing or choose a subject. The studio is a visual setting.

The fly does not decide prices, schedules or buybacks. Those are operator-set mechanical policies. These are collectibles, not financial advice. Neither floor support nor distributions guarantee value.
